Sicily, the largest island of Italy, holds over 3,000 years of history and tradition. The rugged yet picturesque landscape found here vibrates with the essence of the past. Sicily offers an intensity comparable to none, thanks to its incredible architecture and a wide variety of gastronomic delights.  

Catania and Syracuse are two cities that define the ethos of Sicily. With its vibrant and metropolitan atmosphere, Catania sits at the foot of Mount Etna, Europe’s most active volcano, and is often witness to spectacular eruptions of light and mystic charm. Syracuse is one of the most beautiful gems in Sicily, with its buzzing urban section and the historically affluent and charming neighborhood of Ortigia, a small island. Layers of Greek ruins, Baroque monuments, and beautiful streetscapes epitomize Sicily’s historical importance.  

Your group of four will stay for 3 nights in Catania and 3 nights in Syracuse in lovely 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartments. These homes away from home include sitting rooms and kitchens, and the properties are located near the most important attractions of each city.

The four of you will head out to explore Etna, the highest and most active volcano in Europe on an exhilarating Jeep Tour with a private guide. Here you will climb up the volcano in a 4x4 Jeep, viewing the old lava flows and craters while you admire the stunning volcanic landscape. Then, on the way back down, you will stop by one of the famous wineries located right on the slopes of the volcano and enjoy a fabulous wine tasting and delicious meal. Wine lovers appreciate Etna’s famous volcanic wines across the world for their spectacular mineral content and freshness.  

Then, when you are in Sicily, the four of you will have a delicious 3-hour gastronomic walking tour, tasting some of the unique delicacies of the region while making your way through this remarkable city! Along the way, you will see the historical center of town, which is home to impressive piazzas, incredible buildings, fountains, and churches built in the dramatic Baroque style. Molto gustosi!!
